Treatment regimen for E.coli in chickens

E.coli in chickens is a dangerous disease that causes great losses to farmers and depending on the severity of the disease, there will be different treatment regimens.

Diarrhea caused by E. Coli is a common and dangerous disease in chickens if you do not know how to prevent and treat it. A better understanding of the disease, timely detection and correct diagnosis of the cause of the disease is essential.

STEP 1: CORRECTLY DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE DISEASE

  • Green stool, white stool, thin and foamy
  • Inflammation of the pericardium, peritoneum, and liver
  • Chickens have ruffled feathers, drooping wings, moodiness, and reduced appetite

STEP 2: CHOOSE A SUITABLE TREATMENT REGIMEN AND GOOD CARE FOR THE CHICKENS

Regimen 1: Chickens with mild illness

  • Morning or late afternoon: 100g of Coli 1200 ws + 100g of Flumesol 200 ws per 500kg chicken
  • Lunch: 100g of Haspro and 100g of Vitaherb per 500 kg of chicken
  • Use continuously for 3 – 5 days

Regimen 2: The chickens are seriously ill

  • Morning: 100ml of Flocol 200 oral per ton of chicken
  • Lunch: 200g of Haspro and 200ml of Detosol oral per ton of chicken
  • Evening: 100g of Coli 4800 ws per ton of chicken
  • Use continuously for 3 – 5 days

Regimen 3: The chickens are extremely sick, the liver and heart membranes are covered with white Fibrin

  • 5g of Ceftifur Powder and 100ml of Energin 300 and 100ml of Interspectin-L
  • Inject 1ml of mixed solution per 3 to 5 kg of body weight
  • Inject continuously for 2 to 3 days, then use regimen 2 for oral injection for 2 to 3 consecutive days

PREVENTION

  • Clean the barn, use Iondin @ disinfectant according to the dose: 1 liter per 100 to 250 liters of water, spray evenly over the surface of the cage
  • Increase chicken strength daily: 200g of Vitaherb per 1 ton of chicken
  • Preventive antibiotics: 100g of Coli 1200 or 100g of Flumesol 200 ws per ton of chicken, drink for 3 days, rest for 5 days

Correctly diagnosing the cause of E. Coli diarrhea in chickens and applying appropriate regimens will help farmers take care of their chickens more effectively.
